Update Posted

Part 24 of The Properties of a Rose is posted. It's about a week later than what I had hoped to post it, but exams and projects have gotten in the way. Anyway, I hope readers enjoy this chapter!

It's Been a Very Long While...

Well, readers, it's been about a million years. I'm very sorry it's taken so long for updates--but school has got to come first, fanfiction second. (Though please know that it IS second.)

A few things to mention to my readers:
--Been working on my stuff lately, and I've got new things to post, new chapters and new fics. :)
--Next thing to get updated will be Closer to Heaven Above. Got a few chapters done on it, and they will be posted when the que reopens. As of now, even TAs can't post.
--I'm making changes in Closer to Heaven Above. I realised that my timeline is wrong. Fleur would not be "very" pregnant, as I stated, but rather "newly" pregnant if Teddy is one. Just a small change that I will make that is purely my carelessness.
--I'm going to be working very hard on editing all of the chapters I already have done, then posting as soon as possible. Please keep your eyes peeled for new stuff and new chapters. :)

Finally... I saw that HPFF is going through TAs. I'm a bit worried that since I haven't been able to post because of classes that I will be taken off of the Trusted Author list. I probably haven't earned the right to be on it since I haven't posted much, but that would mean that when I do post, it will take significantly more time to get posted completely. It's no big deal if it happens, I'm just concerned. What do you all think?

I promise I'm working on my FF, and you will see results soon! :)

HPFF Housekeeping

Okay, so my list of WIP fics is extremely long. And I have new ideas that I want to flesh out or think about, so I'm doing some much needed housekeeping. Don't worry--I'm going to save any stories that I delete on a flashdrive, but I am going to erase many off of my HPFF account. If I have a bout of writer's block again, I'll pull up those stories and see if I have any new ideas. But as for now, I'm going to let them rest for a bit. They're tired anyway.

If anyone is extremely upset by a deleted story, let me know via a comment. I'll try to flesh out something for you. After all, I do write for you all.

I'm only keeping WIP fics that I have full inspiration for--not just inspiration to the next chapter or sentence.

Some Writer Updates

Okay, so I've come to realize that I have a lot of fanfiction stuff going on as of right now. I figured I should update you guys, my wonderful readers and reviewers, on what's going on.

First off, I have a lot of uncompleted WIP fics right now. I will be working on them as I go, though I cannot promise weekly/bi-weekly updates on each story. I am struggling for inspiration on some of them, but I have promised myself (and you) that I will finish them. Here is a list of my WIP fics, along with some info you all might like to know:

New Story--The Cursed Skull

A New Story Idea

So I have an idea for a new WIP fic that I've been toying around with. It would be a James II-centred adventure/action fic titled The Cursed Skull. I think I'm going to post it sometime in the next two weeks, if not sooner. Here's the summary, though it might change a bit before I post it.

When the Chamber of Secrets is opened for a third time, sixth year James Potter (II) sets out to discover what is attacking the muggleborn students since the Basilisk was previously slayed by his father. When a close friend looks to be the next victim, James gets the help of a few friends and a lot of family, and together they struggle to solve the mystery and close the Chamber.

What do you think? Does this sound like it could be an entertaining/exciting read? Any comments or suggestions are welcomed!

At this point, I only have 2 1/2 chapters written, and I'm sure it will end up with at least 7 chapters, if not more.

My Apologies

I feel as though I owe all of my readers/reviewers a very, very big apology.

I am so, so, so sorry I have been slacking on my WIP updates!

Do I have an explanation? Yes. And here it is... This summer has been really crazy. First of all, I graduated this May, which made everything spin around twenty times faster than normal. Then I went to Miami for a week with my best friend as our "Senior Trip." It was loads of fun, but I didn't get any writing done. When I got back from Miami, Florida, the Food Lion store that I worked at was closing, so I was out of a job. Then finally, I got another job, but the hunt took forever and kind of consumed me. Now I just finished my training to become a server at Cracker Barrel, so I have a bit of time between shifts this week to write. Through out my whole summer, has been the looming (and slightly terrifying) coming of my freshman year of college. So my head has been busy with lots of thoughts and circumstances this summer, and I am incredibly sorry for that.

I have missed the fan fiction world, and I am glad to be jumping back in. =)

I appreciate you all sticking with me. Without you, there would be no reason for me to publish or even write my fan fictions. I truly enjoy sharing them with you all, and I appreciate your input and comments on them.

New Fanfic

Well, readers, summer is here and it's my goal to really work on my fanfics. And now I've got one more to work on. My newest bit of inspiration is all about Percy Weasley.

My WIP Fanfics

I'm just going to post a list of my work-in-progress (WIP) fanfictions for all readers to see. =) I will post their title, rating, and summary.

The Properties of a Rose: (Mature) I, Rose Weasley, had an enormous, eternal crush on a Malfoy. The world would end if anyone knew.

Call Me Bright: (Mature) Dominique, younger sister to the beautiful Victoire and older sister to the intelligent Louis, knows she's nothing special. But with the help of a good friend and a budding romance, can she come to realise that she's just as special as her siblings?

The Truth About Peter: (Mature) I think I’m ready to begin on my seventh year. It was a year of confusion, loss, and treachery. It was the year in which darkness began to cloud our friendship. JK Rowling has shown us one side of Peter, and we all know that he betrayed his friends, but what caused him to do this? What change in his life created the need for him to join the Death Eaters?

Failing History: (Mature) Dominic Larson is your average, popular seventh year. He loves girls, likes his friends, and enjoys the occasional broomride. But after winterbreak, he learns that he's failing his History of Magic class, and he must get a tutor. But Nymphadora Tonks isn't the tutor he had in mind.

Summer Daze: (Mature) Sirius and James have been stuck in James' grandmother's house near the shore. The only magical people around are the two of them, old Grandmother Potter, and Laura--a shy, socially awkward girl that they're stuck hanging out with. This summer is sure to be awful--at least, that's what the boys think, but the summer seems to be getting more and more eventful as the vacation wears on.

Sailing Away: (Mature) Lily Evans was the epitome of perfect. Head Girl, top student, and a beautiful young witch. She had a fiery personality that matched her flaming red hair. But she begins to sink further and further into the shadows, sailing far from reality when a tragedy happens within her family. Is there any way Lily can turn around and sail home or will she forever be sailing into the horizon of nothingness?

Albus Potter and the Hidden Secret: (12+) Albus Potter is just like his father—brave, loyal, and has that tiny knack for getting into sticky situations. During his first year at Hogwarts, he and his friends realize this when they uncover a secret that was never meant to be found.

All of these stories are in progress right now. I have not updated many of them because of lack of inspiration, but I promise to finish them. I'm trying really hard, I swear. Updates will come to you as soon as they are written.
